TAON is a Toronto-based creative community built on a simple idea: the art of noticing. Noticing people, opportunities, and moments that would otherwise pass by. Pronounced  like “town,” taʊn represents a living network within the city, where strangers become familiar and familiar faces become collaborators.

We are building an open, accessible community for creatives across disciplines — a space to connect, collaborate, hire, and grow. Through curated events, shared experiences, and organic interactions, TAON exists both digitally and physically within the city.

At the center of TAON is the Membership Card, a student ID-inspired piece that symbolized belonging. When you carry it, you’re part of a network that extends beyond a single moment or event.

As part of our launch, TAON is tapping directly into culture. An opportunity to bring influential creatives into the ecosystem early, whether through collaboration, participation, or becoming larger contributors to what TAON is building.

While creative communities already exist, TAON is designed differently. It isn’t niche or gate-kept, it’s intentionally broad, bringing together a wide range of creatives to spark unexpected connections. The goal is proximity over exclusivity.
